When a story begins with...

It is always a sad ending for any story that begins with two people with a love lost, floating on the waters of endless hoping and yearning. What breaks your heart more is knowing that all throughout their lives they know that they're meant to be together and that their souls were half of each other. What happens a few years after makes it even more true: unexpectedly seeing each other somewhere - next thing you know their eyes meeting and it's all coming back to that very first day they said 'I love you'.
